Zoe Antona is a multi-disciplinary artist and photographer, whose work addresses self discovery through abstraction.
She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia in the US, relocated to Cincinnati, OH, and is now based in the greater NYC area.
Her work explores relationships with self and others that is representational of the weight and the power dynamics all relationships possess. Zoe's work continuously explores intimate experiences between that of only two people. As well as depicting how intimacy impacts not only the emotional state but also the physical state. Her work aims to evoke a visual and emotional reaction through the aesthetics and installation of her work. The concepts for her work repeatedly revolve around life experiences that represent power dynamics through abstraction. In her current body of work, Zoe is working in abstraction to manifest inner emotions from life experiences.
Zoe has exhibited her work in Roswell, GA as well as in Cincinnati, OH. She will be exhibiting her piece Derma in the upcoming ReVision exhibition at the Newark Museum of art in New Jersey, USA. As well as her piece Morph from Beyond the Next Door in an International group show at Loosen Art in Rome, Italy. Past exhibitions include Sonnet: Research Studio exhibition exhibited in the Waiting Room Gallery at UC. Publications include London, UK based gallery and magazine Boomer and the latest publication The New Artist as well as Sink Hollow's issue 9 her work Beyond the Next Door is shown on the cover with a two page spread in the publication.
Zoe's work is still currently in process and she wishes to exhibit her work more in the coming months as well as expanding her outreach.
